Battle Jacks New Owner Excited For Baseball In Battle Creek
The Battle Jacks entered into the Northwoods Baseball League which has teams full of college baseball players keeping themselves sharp and active over the summer. When they entered the league, they were owned by Brian Colopy who also owns one of their league rivals, the Kalamazoo Growlers. Obviously, there wasn't a ton of conflict as they are close in proximity, but Colopy could only manage two teams in Michigan for so long.
Lucky enough, Colopy would find his way out of Battle Creek and will now be able to focus solely on his first team, the Growlers. Colopy was able to find someone who was interested in purchasing the Battle Jacks and was happy to hand the keys over. The Battle Creek Battle Jacks announced that Scott Miles will be taking over the club starting in the 2025 season.

Miles has been a baseball enthusiast for most of his life and has made a name for himself as a successful entrepreneur. He is now looking to combine his business skills and his love of baseball to take the Battle Jacks to the top of the Northwoods League. They have already started to plan what they believe will be an amazing summer as they will have 36 home games jam-packed with summer fun, memories, and top tier baseball. Scott Miles had this to say when accepting his new role as the Battle Jacks owner:
I’m incredibly grateful to Brian, the league, and city leaders for their support during this transition. The foundation here is strong—thanks to the dedicated front office, coaches, players, host families, fans, and sponsors. My goal is to honor that legacy while bringing new energy, ideas, and experiences to keep the Battle Jacks growing season after season.
